ST. GEORGE ART MUSEUM GALA
Museum supporters celebrated the 1O-year anniversary of the renovation of the St. George Art Museum (formerly the storage place for Utah's famous sugar beet seeds) in grand style. Deborah Reeder and committee members decked out the museum with elegant lighting and white tulle. And the Ham Mousse on Bavarian Brochette, Lox and Capers with Dilled Neufchatel, edible orchids and a hydration bar arrayed with exotic waters from around the world (the absolute brilliance of The Real Touch Catering and Chef Paulo Blaser) were dazzling and tasty, The St. George Art Museum with its surrounding waterfalls and pristine gardens are a perfect compliment to Southern Utah's beauty. (Pssst... and a great place to picnic on a spring afternoon!) "Willie and Martin Remembered: A Tribute to the Mormon Handcart Pioneers'" along with Gaell Lindstrom's "Private Watercolors" and photography from Color Country Camera Club are currently showing at the Museum.
From the St George Today Magazine:
The Real Touch is a deli with a health conscience. It is located at 1532 E. 1450 S., adjacent to the outdoor pools of the Summit Athletic Club. The Real Touch is owned and operated by Chef Paulo, a Washington County native.
The Real Touch offers a variety of good eats to satisfy diverse palates. Chef Paulo bakes fresh bread every day for the sandwiches. The breaststroke sandwich is a favorite of mine with a whole chicken breast, fresh spinach, tomatoes, Swiss cheese, and a special ranch dressing on Bavarian bread (a black whole wheat bread), it is almost perfection. To complete the meal, The Real Touch accompanies its sandwiches with "no added fat" French fries.
Chef Paulo and The Real Touch have introduced the greaseless fryer to St. George, Utah. It turns out great products without adding any fat. Fries, onion rings, chicken tenders, and battered fish are just a few of the "no added fat" fried foods available at the deli.
The smoothies are a real treat; they are refreshing, delicious and a fantastic poolside beverage. Chef Paulo has 'created a few delicious smoothie blends and he encourages everyone to find his or her own favorite blend of fruits.
The Summit Athletic Club welcomes all visitors with guided tours of the facility, and the public is always welcome to visit The Real Touch deli for a meal. The Summit Athletic Club is a great place for parties, business meetings and family gatherings. Catering by Chef Paulo is all about what you desire. Menus are composed according to each individual or group. There are very few limitations on the meals that can be created by The Real Touch. Catering is done either at the athletic club or outside the facility at places such as parks, offices, homes or churches.
Birthday parties are a specialty with cake, drinks, balloons and, of course, swimming in any of the Summit's six pools.
The food is always made fresh when you place your order. There are great salads and a menu with children's favorites. Everyone should try the fabulous sweet potato fries, another treat from the greaseless fryer.
Chef Paulo and his staff are friendly and work hard to please each customer. The prices are reasonable and the food is delightful. The Real Touch is one of the hidden treasures of St. George that everyone needs to find.
