Our surgeons have extensive training and experience in minimally invasive as well as traditional techniques for benign and malignant diseases.
Colonoscopies
We offer both colon cancer screening and treatment. Specialized therapies, based on anatomic location and staging, include endoscopic ultrasound, TEMS, transanal excisions, laparoscopic excisions and sphincter preserving resection. At CCRD we emphasize preventive measures as the best approach to maintaining good health. |

Surgical Alternatives
We choose the right surgery for the right patient. We accept referrals for diagnostic workup and/or treatment of constipation, urinary and fecal incontinence and pelvic pain. Our surgeons are trained in all of the new cutting edge technologies for fecal incontinence and obstructive defecation. |

Edward J. Eyring II, M.D.
Board Certified Colon and Rectal Surgeon and a Board Certified General Surgeon. He is past Chairman and Chair-elect of the Board of the Utah Cancer Action Network (UCAN). Dr. Eyring has been in private practice seven years and sits on the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgery National Committee. He has taught at both the University of Utah College of Medicine and University of Utah College of Nursing as a Volunteer Clinical Professor. Dr. Eyring also serves as the Chairman of the Utah Colon Cancer Task Force. Dr. Eyring received a B.A. in Political Science at Emory University and received his M.D. at the University of
Tennessee. His fellowship training was at the
Ferguson Clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan. |

We encourage patient involvement in their treatment planning to integrate all aspects of health. The diseases we treat include proctology, urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic pain, colon cancer, SCREENING for colon cancer, diverticulitis, crohns and ulcerative colitis. We use traditional medications, cutting edge surgical care, accupuncture, yoga, nontraditional or herbal therapy and nutritional education to cure or manage disease. Our philosophy is that modern patients need better service, therefore we provide every convienence possible in the course of care to make the patient experience enjoyable and worry free.
