For more than 18 years, Counseling Services of Southern Utah (CSSU) has served the St. George area adults, children and adolescents as a comprehensive outpatient behavioral and mental health facility, with a special focus on the prevention and treatment of drug and alcohol abuse. To accomplish tremendous success in the field of drug and alcohol, behavioral health, and mental health treatment, and to be leaders and innovators in their community, CSSU has employed the most competent professionals available.
Russ Talbot , M.Ed., MSW, Owner and Managing Director, is one such leader and innovator. Mr. Talbot earned two Masters Degrees. The first in Educational Psychology. He was the School District Psychologist in Millard County, Utah. The second Masters degree, is in Clinical Social Work. He also holds certificates as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor in both Utah and Nevada. In addition to Mental and Behavioral Health, Marriage, Family, and Individual Counseling, Russ also provides Educational Consulting and Inpatient/Residential Treatment recommendations and placements.
Sandi Kae Burningham, LPC, LSAC, of St. George, Utah, has received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, a Master of Counseling in Mental Health Counseling, and Certification in Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment. She has over 10 years experience working with adolescents, adults and families in the counseling profession. This included working with chemically dependent adults and adolescents in inpatient residential treatment, intensive outpatient treatment, and individual counseling.
