I work with individuals, couples, and families with relational problems, depression, anxiety, grief & loss, addiction, transitional issues and chemical dependency.
I have found that relational and emotional health are most often attained by learning who you are and how you interact as an individual, family, and productive member of society. I work with you to make our time together a safe experience to explore your values, beliefs and self. I work with individuals, couples and families. I do a great deal of work with adolescents, both as individuals and in connection with their parents. Much of my work entails working with individuals with chronic addictions who are seeking help. I have history helping guide individuals through histories of abuse and neglect as well.
By using a Family Systems approach, therapy is from a blame free perspective exploring the complex patterns and dynamics that are keeping you stuck and further complicating your life. By combining techniques from a variety of disciplines, such as cognitive-behavioral, structural family, and solution-focused brief therapies you are able to explore the impact your past has on the present, recognize failed connections, grieve losses, reduce depression and anxiety, change old role patterns and understand your strengths and limitations in a new and productive way.
